When you look at text written in Spanish, you may think at first glance that the alphabet is the same, but there are some differences between the Spanish alphabet and the English alphabet. For one thing there is no letter or a corresponding sound for this letter in Spanish. You will also notice that is a letter in addition to and there are two forms of the letter Through the basic course, you will learn how to pronounce each of the letters correctly.

The next part of the course will introduce you to Spanish grammar. Some of the topics that you will learn are:

- Subject pronouns

- Verb conjugation

- How to use definite and indefinite articles

- Verb tense

- The use of negatives in sentences

- Adjectives

- Pronouns

- How to ask questions

- Adverbs

Other aspects of grammar rules that you will learn in such a course include the difference between para and por and between pero and sino. Para is used when you are speaking about how something is used, a destination, or a point in the future. Por is used when speaking about time, prices, a unit of measure or to mean because. Pero is used when you use an affirmative expression, while sino is used with the negative.

In learning vocabulary words and phrases in Spanish, you learn a variety of words to help you form sentences. You will learn how to ask questions, the numbers, days of the week and months of the year as well as words and phrases associated with time and season. You will also learn the names of animals, objects, places, fruits, vegetables, meals and much, much more. This type of course is very comprehensive and will give you all the instruction you need to be able to speak the language fluently.

Even when you are part way through the course, you will feel confident speaking in Spanish and the more you use the language, the faster you will learn.
