Over a third of people that I have met and know in my life all have one thing in common between them. They all have hobbies to pass their free time away ranging from collecting shells, stamps and even to rocks. Yes... Rocks! Heck, I can't even tell the differences between a marble and pebble and these people collect rocks? Mind you, the only thing that I ever then collected was "dust" in the closet! To top the charts are those who are fascinated with celebrities. I could never understand the reasons why people can be so fascinated with another person's life. It's not as if that we don't have enough to occupy ourselves with our own everyday life.

It wasn't until Princess Diana died then that I developed an interests in the lives of famous people. We all know, hers was a story of a fairy-tale wedding, power, betrayal and tragedy. I guess it was the urge to know more about her that propelled me into a passion of collecting memorabilia about her, ranging from articles and books to magazines and photos. The passion has always driven me further.

The more I dwell into this passion about her the more I discover that there is a whole world devoted to collecting memorabilia of famous people. Personalities like Marilyn Monroe, John F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King just to name a few, are icons of our time. Each of these people had their moments in life where people remember them for, Marilyn Monroe, the "Sex Symbol", JFK, and the King of "Camelot" and Martin Luther King's most famous line..."I had a Dream!" Their photos, autographs became much sought after collectibles. People like us collect them because its our way of persevering history. One can never bring back the past to the present but through memorabilia, we can bring back memories of those nostalgic moments when history was created.

So how would one go about collecting autographed celebrities photos? My advice to the amateurs is to learn all you can about the autographed Arts that you want to focus on. I call them Art because like works of artists, their signatures become more sought after the moment these people are gone from the world of the living. Crude as it is, how many works of Art do you know belong to artists who are still living today? Check out tips from experts in the industry about collecting celebrities collectibles. So do check out what they have to offer in terms of tips. You might learn a few things that can save you a lot of grief later on.

As passionate as we are about famous personalities, there are also those who wouldn't stoop to passing off a fake autograph as authentic just to make a fast buck. So it will definitely be wise for you to pay attention to what the experts have to say about this hobby.
