We have heard it time and time again that when things get tough, the tough get going. But, what does this mean, and how does it apply to your success? Are you destined to be the 1 - 4% of high achievers in this world? If so, then as you read this article, you will discover gems which will propel you to success.

Many people hate adversity, and everyone wants security. However, security is non existent. We often get comfortable; believing that jobs provide security, owning a home is security, etc. However, these are all illusions. And we know these are illusions. For example getting a job 50 years ago meant that you were likely set for life. You had a job that would last till retirement, and this was great. But, this is non existent today. Today you could go through 10, 20 maybe even 30 different jobs through your lifetime.

So, someone loses a job. And at that time it feels like it is the worst thing that can happen. That secure income that allowed you to live your lifestyle is now gone, and you find yourself in a situation which needs action. Some people will go to welfare, and others will find a job. But, the few will find a benefit here, and this is what I want to speak to you about today.

Do you have a goal, and ideal life that you want to live? When adversity hits, it may seem like adversity, but it could be your biggest opportunity. This time becomes a great point to think about what to do next. It does not only apply to unemployment, but all areas of life where adversity may hit.

Utilize this golden time. Take a breather, and think for a moment. What do you really want? Is this adversity an opportunity in disguise? What is the opportunity? And ultimately what are you going to do about it, now? These questions are essential, and help us have a direction.

All too often people in adversity will experience some helplessness, like nothing can ever get better, but they can. When one door closes, 3 more open for you. And they all contain gems, if only you could see them.

You are one of that 1-4% of high achievers, and though you have not got the results right now, your actions can really show the results. It is important to take a look with fresh eyes. When things get tough, the tough get going. While everyone tries to offer help and advice, you can hold yourself and confidence together, persist and succeed.

Rich men sons often will end in poverty, and this happens because they have not learned the true benefits of adversity. They have a shield in a way, but you don't. And this is your greatest blessing. You can grow, and achieve great things. However, you will need to take action now. You have a world of opportunity, and can act on that.
