The Unibind Photobook Creator was recently released on the market, and many MyBindining.com customers have been asking about the difference between it and the XU138 Binding Machine. The biggest question people have is why MyBinding.com doesn’t carry the Unibind Photobook Creator. By comparing the Unibind XU138 and the Photobook Creator, though, the answer becomes clear.
Binding Ability – The Unibind XU138 can be used with any of the binding supplies from Unibind, including Steelback Spines, Steelbook Hard Covers, SteelCrystal Covers and Unibind SteelMat Covers. And the XU138 can also be used with Unibind Photobooks. The Unibind Photobook Creator, on the other hand, can only bind Unibind SteelBook Hard Covers and Unibind Photobooks. Any other project might be very difficult.

Binding Time – The Unibind Photobook Creator can also only use one cover at a time, and takes almost twice as long to bind. The XU138 can bind documents much quicker and more efficiently.

Quality – The Unibind Photobook Creator can also not process volume applications, and it is not of the same quality construction as the XU138. The Photobook Creator only comes with a 90-day warranty, as well, unlike the one-year warranty that comes with most of their other products.

Volume – One more comparison between the Photobook Creator and the XU138 is the volume of binding it can process. The Photobook Creator is meant more for home use, while the XU138 is meant to handle high volumes of binding. The Photobook might be fine for binding five or 10 documents at a time, but companies with high-volume needs would probably not be satisfied with the results.
MyBinding prides themselves in only carrying products that they can stand behind, but they currently don’t feel that they can stand behind the Unibind Photobook Creator. This is why they have decided not to carry it. They suggest that consumers take a look at the high quality Unibind XU138 binding machine instead.
