To make your shower an experience of enjoyment you might want to follow a specific order of doing things. A shower taken properly gets you cleaner and healthier. First of all, you should place your clothes in an area where they will not get wet. Avoid placing them on the toilet top as it can harbor unseen germs. Set the water temperature that you need. Keep the shower head in such a position that water is sprayed downwards rather than out of the enclosure onto the floor. When the temperature reaches the desired level, step in to the shower. Make sure that the entire head is wet including your whole body.
Take small quantity of shampoo and massage into your scalp; gently rub each part of your scalp and make sure that every strand is covered soapsuds. The purpose of shampoo is to clean the scalp rather than cleaning the hair. Then rinse thoroughly all shampoo out of your hair. Thereafter apply a conditioner to the ends of hair and allow it to sit for two/three minutes. Soft shampoo that doesn't have strong scent should be used by men for their facial hair/beard and faced washed twice. After wetting your washcloth well soak little amount of facial soap onto it and gently clean your face. The soap can now be rinsed off thoroughly.
Soak your washcloth with bath soap and scrub your entire body, particularly at hands and feet. Cover the areas behind ears, back of the neck and in between each toe, under each arm pit and private areas. You may feel a little embarrassed, but you should not worry as there is no one seeing you cleaning yourself. While rinsing off the conditioner, you may run your hands through your hair and rinse out all the conditioner. If all conditioner is not washed out, it will cause your hairs to become greasy. Thereafter give a final rinse to yourself.
Then turnoff water tightly and exit the shower; stand on the rug or mat and gently dry your face, head, torso, abdominal area, legs, feet and pelvic region. This way the water will be only on the shower mat or rug and not on the floor. Then put on clean clothes starting with clean underwear followed by clean clothes and a bathrobe or socks.
