In the age of the Internet, many new couples are choosing to share their happiness with others by setting up a wedding website. For persons that find this idea appealing, here are some ideas on features you can include on a website dedicated to your wedding.

Of course, one of the centerpieces of your web site will be photos from the wedding and the reception. You may want to create two or more separate online photo albums to include on the wedding site, each one containing photos and perhaps some personal notes about who is in each photo and anything else you may remember about what is happening at the time of the photo. Creating one photo album for the wedding itself, then one for the reception, and maybe even one for places you visited during the honeymoon can allow those who attended the wedding to relive the experience. For those that were unable to attend, these albums can be a welcome surprise and help them to feel more a part of the event.

Along with the photo albums, you can also include a section that talks about how the two of you met, including some dates that are important to the time of the courtship, including the date that the two of you became engaged. You may also want to include anecdotes about funny things that happened leading up to the wedding. Putting all this down in a documented form is a great way to preserve the memories not only for others but also for you and your spouse as well.

A guestbook is a must for a wedding website. Make is possible for people to sign in and leave a comment or two. This will allow family and friends who were not able to be at the live event to still share some memories with you that relate to your special day. Just make sure you can manage the comment section in case someone chooses to leave something that is in appropriate. Even if people who were able to attend the wedding ceremony or the reception make the comments, the continued wishes for a happy marriage will bring a smile to the lips of both you and your spouse.

A wedding website can be a great way to share your happiness with other people, no matter what amount of geographical distance separates you from your loved ones. Why not look into setting up your own web site today?
